Digital solutions to conquer table tennis

We presented the ITTF Online Services in 2021 under the new ITTF participation program. The innovative program is currently underway for the 2022 season and offers partnerships with Pingprofy, Stupa Analytics and TT Street.

pingprofy is a web-based communication platform where MAs can chat remotely with ITTF experts. In addition to the eight initial services offered in 2021, the current menu offers three additional new services for the 2022 participation program: Talent identification, Good governance and gender balance in table tennis. This offers MAs a variety of eleven services to choose from depending on their needs. The inaugural program was well received by MAs eligible for this incentive in 2022 and we have had positive feedback over the 6 month implementation period:

“I have learned a lot from the OS 2021-2024 Programs and Guidelines Department and will use the knowledge gained to improve the current table tennis programs in Zimbabwe. I wish to encourage other MAs around the world to use these ITTF initiatives as they have proven beneficial to our sport. Tinashe Duri – General Secretary of AM Zimbabwe.

“We appreciated the online services and we appreciated the time the ITTF experts took to support us through the participation program this year. The practical approach was useful because it showed us how to organize our activities according to the expected results (in reference to the creation of national development plans). This motivates us to work for the development of table tennis in the Cayman Islands and to work hard to change and improve our position in the region. Mr. Robert E. Sairsingh, MA President of the Cayman Islands.

Beyond online services, Pingprofy offers MAs the opportunity to schedule and meet internationally renowned table tennis coaches and athletes such as Werner Schlager, He Zhi Wen (Juanito) and Aruna Quadri, where they can book individual sessions. for training and advice.

Another partnership forged by the ITTF embracing the advancement of technology was Stupa Sports Analytics. The company offers a wide variety of products, including performance analytics, event management, broadcast and social media. Special use Stupa Lite and Stupa Pro packages of artificial intelligence technology, coaches can analyze an athlete’s game performance. With the stupa events package, organizers can manage any event digitally and stream the match action online to promote the organization on a massive level.

Under the Participation Programme, the stupa packages are currently offered to MAs to register and take advantage of the many benefits that come with improving their athlete’s performance as well as successfully organizing events.

With Sport for All at the heart of the ITTF’s mandate, we have found a compatible partner with Street TT and launched the cooperation under the 2022 participation program. TT Street is an application that connects players around the world where they compete in street championships. The app allows players to search for a public table near them and meet other players at table tennis events. Players can submit results of matches played and will be ranked within their community, region or continent depending on the app.

We believe there are many ways to grow table tennis, including digital opportunities, and invite our MAs to take advantage of the packages offered through the ITTF Participation Program.
