FIM MiniGP Australia Series
The FIM MiniGP Australia Series is the latest Cup to join the FIM MiniGP World Series, becoming the first to do so in the Oceania region and joining Austria, Indonesia and Qatar as new additions for 2022.
The inaugural FIM MiniGP Australia Series will feature 10 races over five rounds, with the calendar visiting three states from March through October.
Port Melbourne hosts the first round as the series opens in Victoria in March, before two visits to Eastern Creek for consecutive rounds to New South Wales in May.
Ipswich in Queensland, just west of Brisbane, will host the fourth round in August, before Australia’s first round ends in October at Oakleigh, back in Melbourne.
The FIM MiniGP World Series is the first stop on the MotoGP road, designed to create an equal platform for young riders around the world. The FIM MiniGP Australia Series will provide the ideal springboard for young people to start their motorcycle racing career in an economically viable and equal environment, gaining experience by participating in races at different venues in three states.
As always, the best riders will qualify for the FIM MiniGP World Final alongside the best riders from each Series, with the possibility of promotions to be won on Road to MotoGP.
