Over the years, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has been an active supporter of the city’s local sport development by sponsoring a number of famous international sporting events in a variety of ways, including being the title sponsor of the marathon. In preparation for the upcoming marathon, GEG and MSO launched a “Run with a Partner” training program earlier this year, where members of the GEG Runner’s Club team and MSO members train together regularly. . The workouts were designed by members of the GEG Runner’s Club and include interval runs, long and slow distances, and tempo runs to improve their speed and endurance. Members are grouped into pairs according to the physical conditions, needs and progress of OSM members. In this way, the two members grow together.

Galaxy Entertainment Group Special Olympics Table Tennis Competition

Since 2011, GEG has co-hosted the Special Olympics Galaxy Entertainment Group table tennis competition with MSO. Marking the 11th year of GEG’s support for the event, this year’s event will take place on November 14. Each year, GEG also mobilizes the members of its team of volunteers to help OSM members during their competitions.

“Through this platform, we have made friendships with many MSO athletes. In addition, we can exchange table tennis skills with them. The fruitful collaboration between GEG and MSO does not end there, and for the “2019 Macau Special Olympics Unified Dragon Boat Festival Tournament”, GEG and MSO have formed the “GEG x MSO Inclusive Dragon Boat Team”. This year, the GEG football team also won the title of champion in the open category of the “2021 MSO Football Charity Tournament”.

The engagement platform of the company’s team members – the GEG Staff Social Club – also offers them the possibility of participating in different sports activities organized by MSO, such as pétanque, basketball, badminton, table tennis and bowling. While supporting the participation of team members in different sporting events and activities and helping them to stay active and maintain a healthy work-life balance, GEG also encouraged its team members to participate in community activities that promote sports exchanges and social inclusion.

Recently, GEG invited four social service associations namely, MSO, Richmond Fellowship of Macau, Macau IC2 Association and Concordia School for Special Education to the “Zero to Hero” Movie Sharing and Screening Session ”with members. of the GEG Runner’s Club and the volunteer team. With the inspiring story and sportsmanship of the main character of the film ‘Zero to Hero’, Mr. So Wa Wai, gold medalist sprinter at the Hong Kong Paralympic Games, GEG hoped to encourage participants to continue their pursuits. efforts to progress and succeed.
