Indian men’s team takes bronze at Asian Table Tennis C’ships

Doha [Qatar], Oct 1 (ANI): The Indian men’s table tennis team made history on Friday by winning a medal at the 2021 Asian Table Tennis Championship.
The squad of Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, Sharath Kamal, Harmeet Desai, Sanil Shetty and Manav Thakkar won the bronze medal after losing to South Korea 0-3 in the semi-final on Friday.
This is India’s second medal at the Asian Championships since 1976. The Indian Sports Authority (SAI) congratulated the paddlers on this historic achievement.

Earlier after qualifying for the semi-finals, paddler Sharath said he was happy and proud to have recorded a historic achievement for his country.
