Jeff Gladney: Arizona Cardinals cornerback Jeff Gladney dies in car crash aged 25

The Arizona Cardinals website said team cornerback Jeff Gladney died in a car crash in Dallas on Monday morning. The news was confirmed by her agent, Brian Overstreet. He was one of two people who died in the crash around 2:30 a.m.

According to news from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, two vehicles were involved. Primary investigation revealed that a high-speed white car had clipped the second vehicle from behind. This car then lost control and struck the freeway pier beam, killing two people, a woman and a man in the car. The man and woman in the second vehicle were not injured.

Gladney was about to enter his third season in the NFL. Prior to the NFL, he played football at Texas Christian University. He was drafted in the first round by the Minnesota Vikings in 2020, but was released before the 2021 season because he was charged with felony assault.

Gladney was not found guilty of the incident, and the Cardinals signed him to two years in March 2022. He had recently been training with the Cardinals team at the NFL’s organized team practices.

On Monday, the Cardinals expressed their grief through tweets saying how devastated they are by the news and that their condolences go out to his family, friends and all who mourn his loss. Even the Vikings expressed their grief over the passing of Jeff Gladney, also expressing their condolences to the Cardinals team, former teammates and coaches.

Sincere sympathies and condolences poured in from the Twitter accounts of NFL players across the league. A talented player was taken from the world at a very young age. It was horrible and tragic. Although full details are not yet available, we have lost a precious gem, and nothing can ease the pain of loss.
