Sporting events calendar: Sporting events calendar 2022: Know when your favorite tournament starts

The year 2022 has brought smiles and happiness to sports fans around the world. Over the past two years, every sports fan has been complaining about the cancellation of almost every sporting event due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Several sporting events have made a comeback in 2022, and most importantly, the public is now also allowed in the stadiums. So, the upcoming sporting events of 2022 are highly anticipated by the fans. Several international competitions will take place this year.

The FIFA World Cup, Commonwealth Games and ICC Men’s T-20 World Cup are among the most talked about tournaments of 2022.

Two of the biggest and most anticipated tournaments in 2022 are the ICC World T20 and the FIFA World Cup. The ICC World T20 is scheduled to start on October 16 and end on November 13. Australia will host this cricket tournament. On the other hand, the FIFA World Cup will start on November 21 and its final will be held on December 18. Qatar is the host of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

In the meantime, among the major tournaments to come, the European Sports Championships (Multisports) will start on August 11, while the World Volleyball Championships (Men) will start on August 26. To the delight of tennis fans, the US Open will begin on August 29 and end on September 11.

The UCI Road World Championships (Cycling) are due to take place from 18 September. The famous golf tournament, the Presidents Cup, is scheduled to start on September 19. In addition, the Table Tennis World Championship will start on September 30 and the Track World Championships (Cycling) will push the paddle on October 12.

However, all tournaments are subject to the current coronavirus pandemic. If the situation worsens, these tournaments may be postponed or canceled as they have been in the past. Notably, several major games have already been postponed or canceled this year. The Asian Games, which were to take place from September 10, have been postponed indefinitely.
