SSC pays tribute to winners of Sharjah School Sports Championship
Sharjah24: In the presence of His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, His Excellency Mohammed Al Mulla, Secretary General of the Sharjah Education Council and representatives of the Emirates Foundation for School Education, the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation celebrated the conclusion of the fourth edition of the Sharjah School Sports Championship for boys and girls, where the winners were crowned with the championship titles, which included 3 group competitions in basketball, handball and volleyball, and 7 individual competitions in taekwondo, karate, table tennis, judo, athletics, chess and swimming.
Wasit School was crowned first for schools for the largest proportion of citizens, followed by Emirates American School, while Knowledge International School won first place for schools for the largest proportion of expatriates, followed by Delhi Indian School, each having received a financial prize. of 25 thousand dirhams.
The championship competitions, which began on May 13, were a great success thanks to the intensity of participation and the strength of the competition. 700 students from 37 public and private schools took part.
His Excellency Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, Member of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council, commended this continued cooperation between the Council and the Sharjah Sports Council in many events and programs which continued with the championship in its fourth year.
Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, expressed his joy at the success of the fourth edition of the championship, and said he had made a big leap forward thanks to the participation of private schools as well as of public schools, which led to an increase in the number of participants and an expansion of the contest.
