Triple title for Arnav and Neha at Chandigarh TT

CHANDIGARH: Arnav of Gurukul Global School won all three events – Junior Boys Singles (Under 17), Junior Boys Singles (Under 19) and Men’s titles in the 34th Chandigarh State-2021 Table Tennis Championship for the Sardar Memorial Trophy Gurmeet Singh Grewal here today. In the Junior (Under 17) and Junior (Under 19) category, Arnav won his final against Samarth from Gurukul Global School. In the men’s singles final, he won his match against Rishabh of Warriors Table Tennis Academy Chandigarh.

Neha of Manav Mangal High School has won all three of her events in the state championship, namely Junior Girls Singles (Under 17), Junior Girls Singles (Under 19) and Women’s Title. In all three finals, Neha beat Pelf of Learning Path School to win all three titles

Women’s Singles (semi-finals): Neha (Manav Mangal High School) defeated Kalyani (Chandigarh) 8-11, 7-11, 11-7, 11-9, 13-11, 11-5, Pelf (Learning Path School ) beat Pareen (UBS, PU) 11-6, 11-7, 11-9, 6-11, 7-11, 11-8.
Final: Neha (Manav Mangal High School) beats Pelf (Learning Path School) 1-8, 8-11, 11-9 8-11, 11-8, 11-9.
Junior Boys Singles (u-17) (semi-finals): Arnav (Gurukul Global School) defeated Pritish Sood (Learning Path School) 11-7, 11-8, 11-9, 11-8, Samarth (Gurukul Global School) ) beat Aariv (Gurukul Global School) (11-6, 11-7, 8-11, 9-11, 11-7, 9-11, 11-8.
Final: Arnav (Gurukul Global School) beats Samarth (Gurukul Global School) 11-7, 11-8, 11-9, 11-7.
Junior Girls Singles (u-17) (semi-finals): Pelf (Learning Path School) defeated Hasratjit (Carmel Convent School) 11-6, 11-7, 7-11, 8-11, 11-9, 11- 8, Neha (Manav Mangal School) defeated Teetiksha (Tender Heart School) 11-6, 11-7, 11-8, 11-9.
Final: Neha (Manav Mangal High School) beats Pelf (Learning Path School) 11-6, 11-7, 8-11, 11-7, 11-8.
Junior boys singles (u-19) (semi-finals):. Arnav (Gurukul Global School) beat Harkeerat (Manav Mangal High School) 11-7, 11-8, 11-9, 11-9, Samarth (Gurukul Global School) beat Aariv (DAV Public School) 11-7, 11 -8, 8-11, 11-7, 11-7.

Junior Girls (Under 19) (Semifinals): Neha (Manav Mangal High School) defeated Deevanshi (St. Kabir) 11-8, 9-11, 11-8, 11-8, 11-7, Pelf (Learning Path School) defeated Vani (DAV School) 11-9, 9-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-6.
Final: Neha (Manav Mangal High School) beats Pelf (Learning Path School) 11-9, 11-8, 8-11, 7-11, 11-6, 8-11, 11-6.
