As the summer season is in full swing and daily temperatures soar to triple digits, Carson City’s weekend social calendar fills with live music and community events.

The Carson City Downtown Car Revival Show will take place on Saturday July 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Fifth and Robinson streets. The event is free, but the car registration fee will benefit Food For Thought and the Veterans Guest House. Go to Facebook event page here for more information.

A local favorite is back with the start of the Levitt AMP concert series on Saturday, July 10. Jelly Bread will lead the double performances starting at 7 pm, followed by Sal’s Greenhouse at 8:30 pm All concerts will take place in the BAC’s outdoor amphitheater and are free. The Summer 2021 Downtown Throw Down Cornhole Tournament kicks off Saturday, July 10 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm Presented by the Downtown Business Association and the Northern Nevada Cornhole, matches will be played at Telegraph Square. The Carson City Farmers’ Market returns for another Saturday to its temporary location east of Carson Nugget in the parking lot at 412 N. Stewart Street from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. More information can be found here.

The Carson City Ghost Walk returns for its final event of July on Saturday, July 10 at 7 p.m. ET. The walking tour of historic downtown and the west side of Carson City costs $ 15 in advance and $ 20 at the door. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Facebook event page here.

The Carson City Symphony Association’s “Strings in the Summer 2021” program will present an informal performance at Carson Mall on Friday, July 9 at 10 am. For more information on the event, visit Carson City Symphony’s website.

The Living the Good Life nightclub, bistro and lounge will feature live music from the Trippin ‘King Snakes on Friday, July 9 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in their outdoor room. The Bank Saloon will feature live music from Brian Lester on Friday July 9 and Craig Fletcher on Saturday July 10 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.

Bella Vita Bistro will host live music from Kirk Reba Duo on Friday July 9 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at their location inside Carson Mall. Reservations are advised, call 775-515-4300 to reserve your spot.

The Brewery Arts Center hosts its weekly Art in the Afternoon (for kids) event on Fridays from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at its location on King Street. The family summer movie series continues at Mills Park this Friday, July 9 with a screening of “What About Bob”. Presented by the Carson City Cinema Club, the film will premiere at 8 p.m. and is free. Go to Facebook event page here for more information.

The American Century Championship golf tournament returns this weekend at the legendary Edgewood Tahoe South course. The first rounds are scheduled to start on Friday July 9 at 8 a.m. and end on Sunday July 11.
